What is Certified Nurse Assistant

What Is a Certified Nurse Assistant?

A Certified Nurse Assistant, also known as a CNA, provides essential daily care and support to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. CNAs assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, personal care, communication, safety, infection control, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.

Green Creek Education’s CNA program is designed to prepare students for real resident care, clinical expectations, and the Missouri CNA exam. Students complete structured classroom instruction and supervised clinical/on-the-job training while receiving guidance from experienced instructors.

Our goal is not just to help students finish a course — it is to help them become confident, professional, and prepared to serve residents with dignity, safety, and compassion.

What Are the Benefits of This Program?

Green Creek Education’s Certified Nurse Assistant program gives students more than basic training — it provides a structured, supportive learning experience designed to help students build confidence, understand their role in healthcare, and prepare for real resident care. Through instructor guidance, skills preparation, supervised clinical/on-the-job training, and up to 8 hours of state exam preparation, students develop a strong foundation for entering the healthcare field with professionalism, compassion, and purpose.

  • Students receive quality CNA training that combines essential care skills, resident rights, safety, infection control, communication, documentation, personal care, mobility support, and activities of daily living. Our goal is to help students provide safe, respectful, and compassionate resident care with confidence.
  • Green Creek Education provides supportive instructor guidance, including 1:1 support when students need help understanding coursework, reviewing skills, or preparing for the next step. We understand that life happens, and our team is committed to helping students stay encouraged, supported, and focused on completing their goal.
  • Students have access to flexible online learning through our LMS and student app, allowing them to complete coursework, review lessons, and stay connected while at home or on the go. This helps busy students continue making progress without feeling disconnected from the program.
  • The program includes up to 8 hours of state exam preparation to help students review key content, strengthen skills, build confidence, and prepare for the Missouri CNA exam.
  • CNA training can be a strong first step into healthcare. Graduates may pursue entry-level opportunities in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care communities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living settings, hospitals, and home care environments.
